5+ A DAY GREEN SMOOTHIE

If you are trying to increase your fruit, vegetable and fibre intake, this is a super effective way to get 7 servings; or, if you struggle to consume leafy greens every day, you won't even taste them in this smoothie!

INGREDIENTS

1 banana

1 cup spinach

1 tablespoon psyllium husk

2 green kiwifruit

1 orange

1/2 an avocado

1 feijoa

METHOD

Throw everything in a blender with 250mls water or more, and blend until smooth.  â€‹

SUBSTITUTIONS AND ADDITIONS

Fresh/frozen - you can use either fresh or frozen fruits and veges​

Fruit swaps - swap out the orange for mango, or feijoa for pear or pineapple - or just add them in!

Kale and silverbeet - you can use kale and silverbeet instead of/as well as spinach.  It alters the taste slightly, so it's up to you!

Coconut milk/cream - add 1/4 cup coconut milk or cream for a smoother mouthfeel and creamier taste
