HANNAH PRESSWOOD
ACCREDITED SPORTS NUTRITIONIST
I'm Hannah, an Accredited Sports Nutritionist with the Sports Nutrition Association. My goal is to make sports nutrition simple and accessible to everyone.
I first became interested in sports nutrition after completing my first marathon in 2017, for which I followed a training plan downloaded from the internet that didn't consider nutritional support, fuelling strategies or recovery. Battling fatigue and injury and bonking after 30kms, I crossed the finish line close to tears and feeling like I'd been hit by a bus. Since then, I have competed in several more marathons, ultra-marathons, adventure races including being a part of the winning Godzone Pursuit team in 2019, and enjoyed numerous missions in the mountains, while balancing a full-time corporate job that meant I had to perform not only in training and racing but day-to-day at work as well. I can honestly say that the simple mindset change to prioritise eating and sleeping in addition to training was an absolute game changer as it allowed me to enjoy my sport without compromising my health.

Holding a Masters in Food Biochemistry and a Certificate in Sports Nutrition, I am passionate about helping real people improve their nutrition knowledge and making choices that serve their goals and their overall wellbeing. My strength is creating realistic, personalised nutrition plans that take you from where you are to where you want to be, without compromising health, longevity or enjoyment.

I am based in Central Otago, New Zealand but through the use of online consultations am able to work with people all over New Zealand, Australia, Europe, US and Asia.

WHAT DOES WORKING WITH ME LOOK LIKE?
1. Download and use the EAT. PERFORM.RECOVER. app to coach yourself.
The self-coaching programmes include everything you would get from working 1:1 with a nutritionist, but without having to book consults.

Self-check-ins and the Nutrition Planning template allow you to clearly see your gaps and keep yourself accountable.

Use the monthly Q&A sessions to ask any questions and check you’re on the right track.

2. 1:1 Consults
The most effective approach to improve your nutrition is to combine the self-coaching programmes in the app with 1:1 sessions for additional coaching and accountability.
Or you may just want to have a dedicated discussion about your nutrition with a nutritionist! In either case, you can book 1:1 sessions with Hannah below.
