CHOOSE A COACH YOU CAN TRUST

Dialling your nutrition is one of the biggest performance levers in endurance sport, but it’s also one of the least understood. Most coaches aren’t formally trained in nutrition, and while relying on general guidance and other peoples’ experience can work for some athletes, it almost always limits performance and can even put athletes at risk.  That’s why Real Health Sports Nutrition partners only with coaches who share the same values and commitment to athlete wellbeing. Together, we make sure that nutrition isn’t an afterthought, but a core part of your training plan.

OUR GOAL

To help you achieve your athletic goals, safely.

OUR PROMISE

Run Hazel Run

Hazel Harrison

Hazel is not only an experienced running coach with multiple qualifications, but an exceptionally accomplished ultra-runner in her own right. She has taken on some of the toughest endurance challenges in the world, including the legendary Marathon des Sables, and famously set herself the goal of completing six 100-mile races in 12 months to mark her 60th birthday.

Hazel coaches athletes as whole humans, balancing training alongside work, family, stress, and everything else life throws into the mix.  She places a strong emphasis on training load management, recovery, and building confidence alongside fitness, helping athletes progress without burnout or repeated injury.

Your Running Pal

Gordon Pal

Gordon is a UESCA-certified ultra running coach who helps athletes work towards meaningful, often ambitious goals — whether that’s an upcoming race, a long-term challenge, or the confidence to say yes to big adventures. Through Your Running Pal, Gordon supports runners who want structure, progression, and a clear path forward, without losing the joy of running along the way.

Gordon has close to a decade of trail running experience and has competed in Backyard Ultras, 100-mile races, and 24-hour events - but values adventurous days out with friends in the backcountry just as highly as race results. This balance strongly shapes how he coaches.  He takes a practical, individualised approach, helping runners balance training with real life while building consistency and working towards meaningful goals.

Trail Addiction Coaching

Bernard Robinson

Bernard is a Queenstown-based endurance coach, ultra-athlete, and systems thinker who specialises in building highly aerobic, metabolically efficient runners.

With an engineering background and over two decades of experience in extreme endurance racing — including multiple Coast to Coast finishes, UTMB 170km, TDS, Tahoe 200 and top 10 finishes at GODZone — Bernard combines real-world racing experience with a data-driven approach to performance development.

His coaching is grounded in metabolic profiling and objective testing. Lactate assessments, heart rate analysis, sweat testing, and terrain-specific workload modelling form the foundation of every program. Training is built around aerobic capacity, durability, and fatigue resistance — not guesswork.

The goal is simple: build an athlete whose physiology supports their ambition
